Price, geography, and availability of service by internet service providers usually constrain the type of network connection available for your location. Olafe recommends the following types of service in order of preference:
- Dedicated network connection
- FiOS
- Cable
- DSL
The class of service should be the fastest available to have the best desktop experience. For example, if your cable provider offers an "ultra" service speed, you should select it.
If you have a choice between "Ultra" cable service and FiOS, Olafe recommends that you subscribe to the FiOS service.
It is highly recommended to subscribe to two different internet service providers to ensure maximum uptime of your environment.
Olafe will analyze your networking needs and recommend a connection based on the number of workstations and VoIP telephones and your available bandwidth and budget constraints.
