Application installation

Hosted desktop users will not have the capability to install any applications. For Olafe to provide a reliable computing environment, many security-related controls have been implemented, including prevention to be able to download, copy, install, and configure applications on the local system.

Olafe will install your software for you and configure all the necessary access controls so that your environment is stable and secure. Additionally we will work with your application vendor to identify critical application configuration and data and make sure our backup process backs it up.

If you'd like, we can give you access to your application vendor support staff to provide support for some features of your applications independent of Olafe.

Such tight control will ensure that only appropriate software is installed, and all employees are focused on the work and not on system troubleshooting from failed installations or virus removal.
