In order to effectively setup a new network printer the following information must be provided to Olafe support:
- MAC address of the printer to be installed
- A fixed IP address will be assigned to the printer's MAC address in DHCP
- Specific printer manufacturer, make and model
- A link to a web site site where print drivers for your operating system:
- Windows Server 2019
- Specific instructions which printer driver to load
- For example: PCL5, PCL6, PS, etc.
- More detail will ensure proper operation
- The printer must be configured to receive print jobs on TCP port 9100
- If the printer cannot configured in such a way, specific instructions must be provided as to how the printer is going to receive commands from a print server
If the printer is a multi-function printer (MFP), with scanning or faxing, all non-print related functions must be configured by the printer support team to avoid additional support charges.

- Set up all address book information for scanning to individuals in the office
- Scan to a Share
- Server and share name information
- Logon ID
- Logon Password
- Please contact Olafe support if scanning to a share is a requirement. We will provide with the following settings:
- All scanned documents will be placed into a secured shared location
- If per user scanning to a share is required, additional charges may apply on a monthly basis
